Dr. Biswajyoti Hazarika has been in the specialized field of Head & Neck surgery for the last 20 years.

His expertise includes surgery for tumors/cancers of the head and neck region, including the oral cavity, nose and para-nasal sinuses, larynx, pharynx, salivary glands, thyroid, and parathyroid glands.

Dr. Hazarika is skilled in plastic reconstruction of the resected part, endoscopic, and minimal access surgery in the head and neck region. Robotic Head & Neck Surgery is the latest addition to his skills.

He takes a deep interest in the functional rehabilitation of all head and neck cancer patients.

Following his fellowship in Head & Neck surgery from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, Dr. Hazarika completed his residency at Dr. B Barooah Cancer Centre, Guwahati.

He worked at Prince Aly Khan Hospital, Mumbai under the guidance of Dr. Sultan A Pradhan, gaining tremendous insight into the various gradations of Head and Neck Oncology.

In 2009, Dr. Hazarika joined the Dept of Surgical Oncology at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, New Delhi as a Consultant. In 2013, he was appointed as Head of Dept- Head & Neck Surgery and continued in that position till August 2016.

Dr. Hazarika has multiple publications in national and international medical journals and has authored chapters in the Atlas of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery.
