Dr. Krishan Chugh is one of Asia's finest Paediatricians and one of the first Indian Paediatricians to work actively in Paediatric Pulmonology and Allergy.

He has extensive experience in Paediatric and Neonatal Bronchoscopy and is a pioneer in interventional bronchoscopy in children in India.

Dr. Chugh conducts an annual workshop on Paediatric Bronchoscopy at FMRI.

He started the first Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in the country at Kalawati Saran Children Hospital, Lady Harding Medical College, New Delhi in 1982.

He later set up the first PICU in the private sector in India at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi.

Currently, he heads the PICU at FMRI and is regarded as one of the best child specialists in Gurgaon and the Delhi NCR region.

Dr. Chugh has a passion for teaching and training young paediatricians, many of whom now successfully run PICUs in their respective cities and towns.

His views on child health issues such as pollution, dengue, and swine flu are highly sought after by the media.

As a recognition of his academic excellence, he has been invited to be on the Editorial Boards of major Indian Paediatrics journals.

He writes extensively for scientific publications and has been the Director of several workshops and courses in Paediatrics, Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Paediatric Pulmonology, and Paediatric Critical Care.

He has been invited to deliver lectures and orations at various National and International Conferences.

Presently, he is the Dean of the Indian College of Paediatrics and the Chancellor of the College of Paediatric Critical Care.

He has edited several books and contributed chapters to numerous other books.
